Milford Lake monthly bird walks

Walks meet at 8 a.m. on the south end of the Milford Lake Dam (across the road from the Corps of Engineers Milford Lake Project Office, 5203 North K-57 Junction City, Kansas 66441) - if you are depending on a GPS to get you here, DO NOT just enter Milford Lake! You will wind up on a dirt road on the west side of the lake in the middle of nowhere! Enter the address listed above! The walks last 2 to 3 hours and we explore areas around or near Milford Lake. Walks are monthly (usually 2nd or 3rd Saturday of the month - see schedule below) from March through November. Walks are led by Chuck Otte - he can be contacted at cotte at ksu dot edu. Bring your binoculars, your bird book, comfortable walking shoes and a sense of humor! Birders of all ages and stages are welcome! Schedule is tentative - you may want to check in with Chuck a few days ahead to make sure it hasn't had to be changed.
